Synopsis

A new series of innovations

Eleven pairs of innovations are showcases in the corridor on level 2. Each pair illustrates a specific technology, from digitization to shape-memory materials, sound recording, etc. The associated content is designed to answer your questions directly: What is it? How will it change my life? How does it work?

An example?

The technology: water electrolysis

Two innovations that use it:

  • The water purifier – it disinfects the water in pools, spas and the drinking water for households, campgrounds and hunting lodges, without chemicals;
  • The hydrogen injection system – it is used in the internal combustion engine of trucks, cars and other vehicles; it allows the engine to burn fuel faster and increases its power while emitting less pollutants.

And don’t forget, all these innovations are the product of Canadian researchers’ knowledge and ingenuity.

Also, one of the display cases explains the typical process involved in creating an innovation, From the concept to the marketplace, in three key steps:

  1. Explore
  2. Create
  3. Commercialize

Not only will you learn about the latest innovations on the market but, who knows, you may just want to come up with some innovative inventions yourself!
