IMAX® uses the largest film frame in motion picture history - more than ten times the size of a conventional 35 mm frame and three times larger than a normal 70mm movie frame.
The facts are simple: the larger the film frame, the better the picture quality. The sheer size of an IMAX® film frame, combined with the unique IMAX® projection technology, is the key to the extraordinary sharpness and clarity of IMAX® films.
The IMAX® image is projected onto a giant screen ten times the size of a conventional screen, up to eight storeys high.
The steepy-pitched seating gives everyone - children included - a perfect, full view of the picture. You are not aware of the edge of the screen: the high-fidelity picture effectively fills your field of vision. Each person in the audience has the sense of being totally immersed in the film.
