The environment matters… and it matters to everyone! Start today! Choose an everyday action and join thousands of young people fighting climate change across Québec and Canada!
Ready for new challenges? Learn how these 6 easy actions can help fight climate change:
Who cares if your fruit or vegetable doesn’t look perfect? Doesn’t change how nutritious it is! Avoid food waste by eating them and composting them. Don’t just toss them!
Don’t want it anymore? Someone else might! Designate a space in your house (a shelf or a bin) where you can place things you don’t need anymore. Give them to friends or family or find local places where you can donate them.
Take some time with your parents and review all those summer vacation photos and videos. Delete the extras because storing them can be a waste of resources. Save the special ones that you’ll enjoy seeing again.
Once they die, batteries are very harmful to the environment, so whatever you do, don’t throw them out! Keep them in a container until you take them to a local drop-off point.
Books, board games, video games, movies… Before you buy, borrow from your neighbours, your friends, or check out your local library! Same goes for tools! Or even plant seeds!
Shorten your time under the shower by playing a song or using a 5-minute timer. Here’s the drill: Take 1 minute to get wet, soap up for 2 minutes (with the water turned off!) and then rinse off for the last 2 minutes. Saving water made easy!
