WORKSHOP CHALLENGE AND CONTEST : LIFEBOAT CHALLENGE
As part of Women and Girls in Science which took place on February 11, 2021, the Science Centre and UQAM’s Faculty of Science present: a classroom workshop challenge and a contest!

Create a prototype for a lifeboat, an idea invented in 1880 by a prolific woman inventor. Put their creativity to work and watch them explore and invent! They’ll love it!

By participating in the workshop challenge, you also become eligible for the contest!
Take on the Lifeboat Challenge with your students before June 11 and you could win a visit from a Science Centre educator during the 2021-22 school year. That’s right! A “Science Centre on the Road” workshop in your very own classroom! Valued at $5,000, this prize also includes a pair of passes to the Science Centre for every one of your students, and a two-year membership to the AESTQ for you!
To enter the contest:
- Step 1: Fill out this short entry form to register your class, and submit photos from your class workshop* no later than June 11.
- Step 2: A winner will be drawn from all participating classrooms on June 15.
*Photos will not be used. They are only to validate that you completed the workshop with your class.
