Join us for an inspiring talk by Joannie Rochette!
Discover how you can make your dreams come true with a talk by Joannie Rochette, who won bronze in figure skating at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and is now a resident physician specializing in anesthesia.
Joannie will share her journey and incredible transition from being a high-level athlete to a medical school student and share the lessons in courage and determination she learned along the way. She will also talk about the importance of physical and mental health.

With Édith Lemay, of the Lemay-Pelletier family, whose three children were born with a rare genetic disorder called retinitis pigmentosa that causes progressive vision loss.
Together, the Lemay-Pelletier family chose to face this challenge by transforming it an opportunity to travel the world to imprint the world’s beauty on their visual memories while they still could. During the talk, Édith and her daughter Mia will share stories, photos, and insights about how this experience redefined how they view joy, resilience, and the richness of moments shared. Come discover their inspiring story that helps us see the world in a whole new light, with open hearts and wide-open minds.

- Robot Run – Program your very own robot using fun and intuitive software. Exciting challenges await!
- Stones and Arrowheads – Discover and handle reproduced artefacts, explore hunting techniques, and make your own Clovis point arrowhead to bring home!
- Canine Language – Learn to understand and respond to canine behaviour from a real dog that will teach you all about it over a friendly encounter!

Demos led by young women studying at UQAM’s Faculty of Science! Enjoy some Science Bites and discover all sorts of different scientific fields in a series of presentations you can gobble up and enjoy!

- Discovering magnetism
The educators from the Science Centre invite you to discover the physics and chemistry hiding in the kitchen by taking part in a culinary science demo. Join them in the Banquet hall!
