Celebrating 25 years of Science!
Since 2000, the Foundation has helped young minds discover and learn about science and tech and make it their own as they prepare for their future.
Our 25th anniversary donation campaign runs from September 15th to December 31st and is reaching out to individuals and businesses alike to rally in support of youth access to science and technology education. Every contribution, no matter how big or how small, helps support impactful and meaningful actions in the community. Our anniversary is a great moment to celebrate… with generosity! Our mission
The Foundation’s mission is to make the Montréal Science Centre a special space for quality science education that both families and school groups can enjoy.
No less than 90% of donations made to the Foundation are direct investment into:
- Developing permanent exhibitions like the very latest Fabrik² and Nanualuk: Northern Expedition. Also, did you know? A new exhibition on astrobiology is in the works for the end of 2025.
- Developing school programs including a new one to be launched in 2026.
- Supporting social responsibility actions like hosting visits for school groups from less privileged schools and offering membership cards to community organizations.
The Foundation helps the Science Centre keep its exhibitions and programs fresh and relevant, dynamic and innovative. All this helps us give back to the community.

Your donation makes all the difference by helping us:
- Offer 8,000 free visit passes to school groups and organizations from disadvantaged neighbourhoods
- Offer one of our cool technology-based educational programs to 1,000 youths located far away from Montréal and to special education classrooms too
- Develop new engaging and interactive learning experiences and captivating school programs
- Encourage young girls and women to get involved with science, technology, maths, and engineering thanks to our Women and Girls of Science event.
To mark our 25th anniversary, every $2,000 donation is an opportunity to offer 25 visit tickets to the Science Centre to your favourite cause. That’s right, your donation is a chance to offer visit experiences to youth, such as:
- Sick children looking for a getaway from their everyday with a visit filled with joy and wonder
- Less privileged youths looking for an exceptional chance to immerse themselves in science, building their very own inventions using real tools
- Families with children with special needs looking for an opportunity to explore science in a fun and worry-free environment such as our Peaceful Morning events, away from all the noise and crowds.
