Wacky Experiments and Wild Desserts

Come Whip Up Something Weird in support of Logo de la Fondation ANG

Join us on November 16 for a wild session filled with mad science hosted by Yannick Bergeron, the colourful chemist from Les Débrouillards. Put on your apron and come try some wacky experiments and whip up some wild desserts!

Come concoct and enjoy three weird recipes that will have you elbow deep in giggly, gooey goodness. Plus create a smoking mocktail recipe spilling with sparkling flavours!

On the menu:

  • Deliciously slimy worms
  • Liquid nitrogen ice cream
  • A smoking cotton candy mocktail with a fizz-candy rim

After tasting your creations, your host and chemist Yannick will astound you with one of his famous colourful chemistry shows then give you and your family a secret recipe you can try at home.

A wonderful opportunity to use unusual ingredients, discover how scrumptious science can be, and learn about: 

  • The role and properties of ingredients like liquid nitrogen and dry ice
  • Chemical and physical reactions of mixing ingredients together
  • Stunning and hilarious culinary experiments!

Don’t miss this special Science Centre event in support of Logo de la Fondation ANG

  • Choose from different 2-hour sessions, at 10am and 3pm
  • Event tickets include passes to the Science Centre’s four permanent exhibitions and its feature Banquet exhibition.
  • Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your session
  • Recipes are prepared in teams of four
  • Places are limited
  • Tickets on sale starting October 22 (buy online or at our ticket office)
  • Free cloak room (obligatory)
  • Age requirement: 8 years and up. Supervised use of liquid nitrogen and dry ice.

Since the event is for the benefit of the Science Centre Foundation, members must purchase tickets for this special event.
