Hello Digesto!
Digesto is an interactive exhibit created through a partnership between Énergir and the Montréal Science Centre. You'll find it on the first floor, just steps from the main entrance. Its mission: show visitors of all ages what organic waste can really do. Food scraps, agricultural waste, and cow manure can all be turned into renewable energy, including natural gas, through a process called biomethanization.
Because it comes from renewable sources, renewable natural gas is one of many solutions that can help cut greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels. And it all starts with small, everyday actions, like making good use of your green bin every week.
