Hockey is so much more than a game! It’s where science and tech team up to turn innovation, speed, and excitement into a veritable art form! Go behind the scenes and learn about how hockey ice is made, about how hockey sticks are designed and about the physics behind a slapshot and the hand-eye coordination needed to be a great goalie. All sorts of facts, each more fascinating than the next, to help you marvel at all the science going on behind this exciting sport.

Zone 1 – The Origins of Hockey: This zone features original hockey equipment from the past, objects both curious and remarkable, and unforgettable memories from some of the Montréal Canadiens most memorable victories. Revisit the origins of hockey and meet the women and men who pioneered and helped make the sport a true national phenomenon.
Zone 2 – Rules of the Game: Discover (or brush up on) all the basics and test your knowledge of the game by acting as referee!
Zone 3 – The Science of Performance: Learn about the dizzying number of data points involved in optimizing the athletic performance of players and about all the innovation behind their equipment. From hockey sticks and hockey helmets to design and performance… it's all in the details!
Zone 4 – The Locker Room for Rising Stars: Do you have what it takes to become a legend? What position are you best suited for? Find out and learn more about diversity in the world of hockey in a documentary film called Ice Breakers presented in partnership with the NFB.
Zone 5 – The Tunnel Walk: Walk the tunnel towards the arena and feel the roar of the crowd on game night. Admire and interact with a virtual replica of the Stanley Cup. Come feel the rush of pregame excitement!
Zone 6 – The Hockey Lab: Step into the skin of a hockey player, imagine yourself on the ice, and test your slapshot and shooting accuracy. Ready… go!
Zone 7 – Hockey Culture and Hockey Legends: Pay tribute to the legendary Montréal Canadiens players who made their mark on the world of hockey. Explore the careers of star players from Maurice “Rocket” Richard to Carey Price. Have a seat on authentic seats from the old Montréal Forum and go back in time with archival footage and documentaries presented in partnership with the NFB. Reconnect with the hockey greats!

Come imagine the future of the sport and meet some of the country’s up-and-coming professional players from the world of women’s hockey.
